Discernment within Discernment

WEEK 2: Increasing In Our Discernment!

Day 9, April 12-13, 2015     {Psalm 119:65-72}
Today is the energy of Discipline in Discipline. Take a look at the areas in your life where you have given yourself permission to let negativity run rampant. Today, all day, control your negative patterns; don’t give yourself the space, to yell, to overeat, to smoke, to feel depressed…

~Karen Berg

Discernment within Discernment or “Discipline in Discipline” implies setting boundaries based on what we discern. As anyone who has raised children, trained a dog or nurtured a home garden knows, appropriate boundaries are necessary for healthy growth. Recognizing the usefulness of restraint is a sign of maturity — emotionally and spiritually.

Biblical Affirmation and Meditations For

DAY 9

Everyday after sundown, starting from the second evening of Passover – until the night before (what we call) Pentecost; the following blessing is recited just prior to stating the count of the Omer:

Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the Universe who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Today is Day 9 of the Omer.

After this blessing is affirmed and the count declared – it is tradition to recite this short prayer:

O Compassionate One! May Christ return for us the Service of the Temple to its Place, speedily and in Our time! AMEN.

STEP 4: Read, Meditate and Live (1)Karen Berg’s Quote above, and (2)The following Scriptures:

Scripture Verses For Day 9:

2 Samuel 7:28 (KJV) – And now, O Lord God, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

Galatians 5:22-26 (KJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
