Loving-Kindness in Endurance

WEEK 4: Enjoying Our Predestined Victory(by sharing)!

Day 22, April 25-26, 2015     {Psalm 119:169-176}
Today is the energy of Loving-kindness in Endurance; so just for today respect the idea of someone else even if it differs from your own. Give the same time and passion to their thoughts and ideas as you would your own. Once you have internalized their point of view, go back to your own thoughts. Do you still feel the same way?

~Karen Berg

Every life requires endurance, the ability to keep going even when the going is rough, when we can’t find our way, when we wake up confused and go to bed befuddled. Sometimes just getting out of bed and finding the toothbrush seems difficult. Sometimes remembering that there are things we really enjoy and want to do seems difficult. When we are in those kind of states, for whatever reason (or for no apparent reason) what often helps us keep going is remembering love.

It could be thinking of someone we’ve just met and found interesting, or of someone we’ve been meaning to call for a cup of coffee. Sometimes it’s remembering that we were all created in love, and that it’s kindness that keeps the evils of the world at bay. A familiar prayer says: “We are loved by an unending love”.…the ever flowing love of the Holy Oneness that supports our endurance daily.

Biblical Affirmation and Meditations For

DAY 22

Everyday after sundown, starting from the second evening of Passover – until the night before (what we call) Pentecost; the following blessing is recited just prior to stating the count of the Omer:

Blessed are you, Lord our God, King of the Universe who has sanctified us with His commandments, and commanded us concerning the counting of the Omer.

Today is Day 22 of the Omer.

After this blessing is affirmed and the count declared – it is tradition to recite this short prayer:

O Compassionate One! May Christ return for us the Service of the Temple to its Place, speedily and in Our time! AMEN.

STEP 4: Read, Meditate and Live (1)Karen Berg’s Quote above, and (2)The following Scriptures:

Scripture Verses For Day 22:

Ezekiel 36:27 (KJV) – And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

James 1:12-15 (ESV)

12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.

14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.
