Just Because You don’t See It…

According to 2 Kings 6:8-14, there was a period of time, that Israel and Syria were warring against one another. The Syrians would often attempt, to set-up ambushes upon Israel. However, all these military strategies would fail – because Elisha (the Prophet of Israel) would tell the King  – what areas to stay away from!

The King of Syria eventually became furious. He even accused his own people of sharing military secrets with the opposition…until he learned, that it was indeed Elisha who was protecting Gods’ people! As a result, of this treason – the King of Syria wanted Elisha dead!

Now, Elisha and his young disciple fled into a mountainous city called Dothan, but word got back to the King of Syria – and he immediately sent his best troops to that location. To catch Elisha, by surprise – the troops were sent out by night and then surrounded the city.

When Elishas’ disciple, woke up and went out, early the next morning – he only saw the Syrian Army – with horses and chariots all throughout the mountains. “Oh, my lord, what are we going to do?!” the disciple asked. “Don’t be afraid,” Elisha answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

2 Kings 6:17

Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the Lord opened the young man’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

I shared this story and scriptures with you, just to convey one principle point:

“Just because we don’t see [it], doesn’t mean [it] isn’t there!” ~Dwayne B. Neal

According to the wisdom of Kabbalah, when we SEE (experience) life, through our limited five senses – we’re only perceiving 1% of the truth. However, if we’re able to see beyond the limits of the 1% – we will and experience life from another perspective – a God perspective – a real, true and authentic perspective.

With that being said, we have only a few hours remaining in this week to SEE and experience Life, from “Gods’ point of view” – and tap into another reality.

Yes, we can tap into the “99% Reality” at any moment. Paradoxically, however, the Kabbalists also teach, that each measure of “time” (year, month, week, day, hour…etc.) Has a specific type of energy that comes along with it.

  • Genesis 1:14 (NIV) – And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years,
  • Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV) – To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Subsequently, the energy and scripture reference for this week can be found in:

Deuteronomy 30:15 (KJV)SEE, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

Without getting into all that principles that this scripture conveys – it’s important to remember, that we’re either seeing (experiencing) the “good life” – that is set before us, or the “bad life” that is set before us. Think of our life experiences as a coin: we’re either seeing the heads (representing the good life and/or blessings) – or – we’re seeing the tails (representing the bad life and/or curses). Now, it’s very interesting to note, that just because we’re seeing only one side of the coin – doesn’t mean that the other side of the coin doesn’t exist.

That’s the power of this week! If we’re experiencing a contentious relationship – we get to see peace and harmony within this relationship; if we’re experiencing sickness and ill health – we get to see our healing; if we’re seeing overdrafts and negative account balances – we get to experience our prosperity!

Paradoxically, if we’re already seeing “the good life” – then we get the opportunity to see Satan. But not in a bad or negative sense…we get to see – when “he” (anthropomorphically speaking) attempts to ambush us – and thwart our Visions (pun intended) – and plans that God has prepared for us. With this seeing (knowing) – we can sidestep “his” booby traps – and continue with “the good life” experience.

1 Peter 5:8b (KJV) – because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

For us to see the true reality of our lives – and to access the remaining of this week’s energy; I suggest that we employ the use of the Hebrew Letters. Our eyes are the most advanced scanner and transmitters of spiritual energy for our Soul. The Hebrew letters work as barcodes of the spiritual energy – allowing us to access the positive aspect, of our internal Nature.

Scanning these sequences of letters with the intention of seeing “Gods’ Point of View” gives us the opportunity to make this connection.

NOG_69_1A
Think about the positive people, circumstances, events, and energy that you would like to see and experience today as you scan and meditate on these letters (scanning from ⬅ right to left)!

NOTE: You can also use this practice during LION’S ♌ GATE (8/8 – 8/12) – and ask to see what is your true purpose, what is important, and how you can better serve for the greatest and highest good!

Nobility Within Nobility!

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 49: May 22-23, 2015                    {Psalm 150 & RUTH}

Today is the energy of Nobility in Nobility. Take a moment and meditate on manifesting all the changes that you have undergone in the last 49 days. After Pesach, the Light that we received as a gift went into concealment to give us a chance to earn it back. On the eve before Shavuot, seal in your transformation. You are a new vessel, prepared to receive the Light of immortality; are you ready?

~Karen Berg

AWESOME WORK!!! WE MADE IT! The Torah teaches that the entire nation stood at Sinai to witness the giving of the Law. The rabbis teach that even future generations were present at Sinai. This represents the elevation of the Soul/Spirit…similar to the Day of Pentecost {Read Acts 2:1-21}!

Splendor within Indwelling Presence

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 47: May 20-21, 2015                    {Psalm 130:1-8}

 Today is the energy of Humility in Nobility. Take inventory of the past 46 days. Hindsight is 20/20. Do you see the blessings and the growth? As we come to the end of this Omer, use this day to appreciate the ladder the Creator gave us to climb towards Him.

~Karen Berg

For many people, awe is the basis of our first spiritual experiences. Being amazed at a natural phenomenon is one accessible experience (tonight the clouds were illuminated by the setting sun, highlighted against the glowing mountains, for example). Feeling in touch with some larger reality, as at a birth or a death, is another. For others, it is the clarity that accompanies an intellectual realization. For still others, the sense of overcoming overwhelming odds and accomplishing a difficult task. In all these cases, we remember that there are many magnificent aspects of the Divine, each contributing, each facet magnifying and beautifying the Whole. Each of us is part of the splendor that is inextricably part of the Holy Presence, that One of which we are a part and which is a part of us. The prayer “Ayn od milvado”, loosely translated as “there is nothing except the Oneness” reminds us of the eternal unfolding in which we are honored to participate.

Endurance within Indwelling Presence

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 46: May 19-20, 2015 – New Moon                    {Psalm 128:1-6}

Today is the energy of Endurance in Nobility. Instead of feeling doubt when something “negative” happens, say to yourself, “I know I have done all I can to make this a positive experience. I have certainty that in the bigger picture this situation is positive.” When you do this, you give darkness no entry into the situation.

~Karen Berg

Having gotten this far on this daily practice is evidence of a certain kind of endurance, but it is just a hint of the kind of endurance we all need throughout our lives. One component of creating a new reality, or recognizing the new Reality which surrounds us daily, is patience.  An important component of endurance is patience.  The practice of meditation, is one of building the kind of internal patience needed to contribute to a world where Presence is not only present (which it is all the time) but a world where we are aware of that Presence.  The Hebrew word for meditation is Hitbonenut, based on the root word Boneh, which refers to building.

Harmony within Indwelling Presence

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 45: May 18-19, 2015 – New Moon                   {Psalm 112:1-10}

Today is the energy of Compassion in Nobility. Jacob was considered one of the most complete beings that walked this earth. He knew when to be merciful and when to apply judgment. Check yourself today – are you delicate when you should be definite or judgmental when you should be gentle?

NOTE: Don’t forget that tonight is the New Moon of Gemini. Chodesh Tov (Good Month)!

~Karen Berg

Today is Rosh Chodesh Sivan, the New Moon. Each new moon represents potential, hope, expectation. We are getting close to the fruition of the Omer period, anticipating that which will come on Shavuot. Each year, each month, each week, day and moment is full of revelation. Our job is to be open to see it, honor it, receive it…and then pass it on. Today, we particularly focus on harmony–the complex interplay between individual notes (or lives), which, together, form something completely new and interesting as a result of the interaction. We hold many often conflicting ideas, values and interests simultaneously–the challenge is to recognize the underlying harmony not to be distracted by the apparent disagreements.

Discernment within Indwelling Presence

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 44: May 17-18, 2015                  {Psalm 111:1-10}

Today is the energy of Discipline in Nobility. Before telling anyone what you think of them consider three things:
     1. Is your criticism true?
     2. Do you love the other person genuinely?
     3. Will they hear you?
If you can meet these conditions, then speak up. If not then it is better to be silent.

~Karen Berg

Gevurah is sometimes called Judgment; here, the careful judgment between the good: those pearls of wisdom, relevant encounters and authentic spiritual experiences which enhance our Divine connection, and those other life events which distract us from Holy Oneness or masquerade as genuine, but are empty once the glitz has faded. Our search for valid spiritual connection requires examining our choices with wisdom, asking for guidance from appropriate sources, and acting with integrity.

Loving-Kindness within Indwelling Presence

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 43: May 16-17, 2015                  {Psalm 106:1-5}

Today is the energy of Loving-kindness in Nobility. Like King David – who represents “The Kingdom” – a true King knows his job is to be in service of others not the other way around. Today, manifest your consciousness of service to others with actions.

~Karen Berg

Today we enter the final week of Counting the Omer for 2015! This seventh week is like Shabbat, a pause, an opportunity to reflect, refresh. We envision the world we desire and pray for, a world at peace. Lovingkindness flows into this final week, blending transcendent and immanent energies. We join our individual compassion with that of others, multiplying its power and bring that combined force into the Presence that dwells within us. What a force for the Good, for the Holy, for the Possible. Let us begin this final week of the Omer with enthusiasm and hope. We CAN change the world.

WEEK 6: Correcting Our Foundation

Day 42: May 15-16, 2015                  {Psalm 105:1-11}

Today is the energy of Nobility in Bonding. Today, live in the consciousness of abundance. I don’t mean go and spend money you don’t have, rather focus on seeing the outpouring in what you do. If you are very smart, that is abundance. If you have healing hands, that is abundance. If you are given the gift of gab, that too is abundance.

Shabbat Shalom! The Zohar says that if the world contains just one righteous person, that person sustains the world. Each of us has the opportunity to be that righteous person, to be the pillar that upholds the world. Remembering today that the Divine Presence is always within us, surrounding us, upholding us, inspiring us, we can find the inner motivation toward righteousness. We are part of a “Kingdom of Priests”; each of us is majestic, part of the Great Majesty. Today we treasure that inner Presence, allowing it to fortify our own foundations.

WEEK 6: Correcting Our Foundation

Day 40, May 13-14, 2015                  {Psalm 99:1-9}

Today is the energy of Humility in Bonding. Today, be a channel for bringing people together. Helping others in their relationships will foster an improvement in your own.

~Karen Berg

In Biblical tradition, forty days signifies a sufficient amount of time for major transition to occur (40 days of the Great Flood, Moses on the mountain receiving instruction etc.). As we mark 40 days of Counting the Omer, we recognize that paying attention daily to where we are in the journey of our lives is an important spiritual practice. Each element of our awareness is essential, but when those elements interact, the miraculous is possible. Each day we build the connective tissue of the world we are creating, the varied parts holding each other up.

Today we celebrate the tiny parts of the integrated whole we are co-creating with the Holy One. Each of us plays a part, recognizing we are part of a Great Oneness. After these five weeks and five days of counting, we see glimpses of the possible; we are getting very close to whatever will be revealed to us at Shavuot. It is not just the ancient communal Revelation that is important, though it is, but the personal revelations that appear to each of us, as we are prepared to receive them. May the splendor we recognize today help build the kind of foundation upon which we can stand strongly as we get ready for the great encounter of our personal Pentecost.

Endurance within Foundation

WEEK 6: Correcting Our Foundation

Day 39, Original Post: May 12-13, 2015            {Read Psalm 98:1-9}

Today is the energy of Endurance in Bonding. Perseverance in our spiritual work is the difference between the winners and the losers in the game of life. Joseph spent 13 years in prison before he became the source of abundance and power in Egypt. Today, embrace the process and see the Light in the fact that you have not already arrived.

~Karen Berg

The old song “inch by inch, row by row, we’re gonna make this garden grow’ seems appropriate for the theme of this day of Counting the Omer. Diligence, determination and small “efforts” are the necessary building blocks for any strong structure. It doesn’t matter if the structure is physical (like a house), or incorporeal (like that of a Spiritual Practice); consistency and perseverance are not only the ingredients – but the source of long-term success. Today, we recognize that “small acts” can add up:  sharing a smile, offering assistance, harmonizing with someone else’s melody, making a new friend, or even opening a book…etc. can be daily expressions of adding to our lives and the lives of others!

Goals that require slow, steady effort may seem beyond attaining, but, throughout Biblical history, it has been those that have endured. The characters of the Bible left us ‘A Legacy’ -and- a strong foundation; that we can build upon today. Or, as it says in Hebrews 12:1(NLT) – Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

The bottom line is this: Do whatever it takes to keep going…no matter how small…change is inevitable! “To Live is to Grow; and to Grow…We MUST Change!”

Scripture Verses For Day 39:

Proverbs 11:1 (KJV) – A false balance is an abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.

Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV) – Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living, and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
