Why Don’t We Say This Ourselves?!

If Faith is the substance and evidence of the things that we hope to have, and desire to become (and it is) {Hebrews 11:1}; And if Faith Comes by what Hear (and it does) {Romans 10:17} ….then wouldn’t it make “common sense”, for us to speak to ourselves Faithful words of self-empowerment, hope, encouragement, and Love ❤?!! I mean that only makes sense….Right?!

I do, however, understand, that paradoxically commons sense, ain’t COMMON! (With all things being consistent) Our ONLY drawback in life – is that we don’t speak – from “ourselves” (from the God within) – to ourselves (to the human part of us).  Do we not know – or have we forgotten: THAT GOD IS WITHIN US?!!! {1 Corinthians 3:16}

By speaking from ourselves – TO – ourselves (using the power of the I AM) – we activate the nature of God within us. With God on our side – Any and Everything is possible. However, it is our duty and job to induce GOD into ACTION, and we do so by calling on “Him”!

REMEMBER: Within you is the power to motivate yourself !!! 💯 You are the Captain of Your own Ship….So Forget What Others Are Saying About You — WHAT ARE YOU TELLING YOURSELF?!! {1 John 4:4} 🔑🔑

Happy Monday Kings and Queens…Let’s Make It An Awesome Week (on Purpose)!!!!

Today’s Winning Affirmation:I AM the Captain of My Ship and the Master of My Fate!!

Scripture(s) for Today:

  • Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
  • Romans 10:17 (KJV) – So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Foundation within Indwelling Presence

WEEK 7: The Kingdom!

Day 48: May 21-22, 2015                    {Psalm 148:1-14}

Today is the energy of Bonding in Nobility. Joseph took responsibility for his process. To be a conduit of Light for others, there is no room for victim consciousness. Wash yourself clean of the injustices you feel others have done to you so you can jump into the bright future that awaits you. We’re almost there guys!

~Karen Berg

In building construction, the best foundations are often not the most rigid, but the ones that are designed to deal with changing soil and weather conditions. Our spiritual foundations need to have the same kind of resiliency, adaptability, flexibility to respond to the changing conditions of our inner landscapes. As we get VERY close to Pentecost, we realize that we have no idea what may be coming. All we can do, every day, actually, is to cultivate the kind of inner plasticity to ‘roll with the punches’ as difficulties arise, delight in good surprises when they come, and maintain our deep connection with the Source of All. This kind of foundation dwells deep within the Presence…and in each of us.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

Discipline & Discernment within Foundation

WEEK 6: Correcting Our Foundation

Day 37: Original Post: May 10-11, 2015                  {Read Psalm 95:1-7}
Today is the energy of Discipline in Bonding. Sometimes it is more difficult to be right than to be wrong, harder to be cruel than to be kind. Today, set some boundaries. As hard as it seems, set them with human dignity and like water the Light will find its level.
~Karen Berg

Discernment of proper actions is necessary in building anything that will last. The difference between a long-lasting rock wall and a pile of rubble is in the accurate selection and placement of stones and meticulous application of mortar. This is also true in our lives: using careful discernment we can build the foundation for a long-lasting relationship, a robust congregation or a sturdy organization.

When we go through long periods of training, we are aiming for excellence. We examine what needs to improve, set goals, gather our determination and take aim. This process, whether sports or professional skills, music or accounting, is very similar. Discernment applied well, leads to developing a strong foundation upon which a solid future can stand!

Loving-Kindness Within Foundation

WEEK 6: Correcting Our Foundation

Day 36: Original Post: May 9-10, 2015  {Read Psalm 93:12-23}
Today is the energy of Loving-kindness in Bonding. For today, be a channel of mercy, kindness and love for someone who you know needs guidance. Your actions below will activate abundance from above.

~Karen Berg

Tonight we are entering Week 6, which means we only have two weeks left. As we enter this Mother’s Day Weekend let’s all keep pushing to make small changes each day. It’s been a hard, but the promise of the “Holy Ghost” is well worth it!

Jewish tradition maintains that at all times there are 36 especially righteous people in the world, and that were it not for them, the world would come to an end. Of course, since we don’t know who these people are, it is a good practice to consider each person you meet as one of them. Perhaps the grumpy check-out person at the supermarket is really holding up the world. It may be that your child’s baseball coach, or the librarian, or the teenager hanging out on the corner is one of those special thirty six. It might be your rabbi, your grandchild, or even you. If we treated each person we encountered that way, we could transform the world.

Endless lovingkindness is holding up the foundation of the world today. Celebrate that fact by adding your own unique dose of demonstrating compassion and caring today.

WEEK 5: True Greatness: Making Ourselves Small Giving Glory To GOoD!

Day 35, Original Post: May 8-9, 2015               {Read Psalm 93:1-5}
Today is the energy of Nobility in Humility. One day a man called out a slanderous comment to King David. As his guards moved to put the man in his place, King David said, “Leave him be, if he is saying this to me then I am meant to hear it.” The greatest measure of humility is knowing that the Creator is the voice behind everything we hear. Today listen to what the Creator is telling you.

~Karen Berg

Nobility is sometimes translated as ’sovereignty’. I think of sovereignty as a quality of a wise, guiding leader, not of an autocratic demagogue. Would that all Kings and Queens guided their people that way!!!

Today, we recognize that Divine Guidance is an essential part of all the splendor in the Universe. Consider the latest discoveries in astronomy — dark matter, beautifully colored rotating galaxies, ancient light reaching us. The Psalms are full of these kind of images….read a few today!

True Friendship: Bonding in Humility

WEEK 5: True Greatness: Making Ourselves Small Giving Glory To GOoD!

Day 34                  {Read Psalm 78:56-72}
Today is the energy of Bonding in Humility. True friendship is a gift and a wonderful tool to maintain humility. Focus on building a true friendship — knock gently on another’s heart and be grateful for the chance to look inside. Friendship is respectful, so allow him or her to be themselves.

~Karen Berg

Foundation within Splendor

The foundations of our lives are built on our cumulative experience and the knowledge we have gathered along the way. We are all several ’selves’– our most private self of inner thoughts and responses, our ‘family self’, our ‘friend self’, the self we display at work, in the neighborhood or at public events. Each is a response to a different set of expectations, yet each is also based on a Foundational Self–the one that is our ‘bottom line’ of ethical behavior, of automatic caring and of our deepest loves. Today we remember that underpinning of all of ourselves!

WEEK 5: True Greatness: Making Ourselves Small Giving Glory To GOoD!

Day 29, Original Post: May 2-3, 2015               {Read Psalm 67:1-7}
Today is the energy of Loving-kindness in Humility. As difficult as things can be, the Creator always gives us something good in our particular situation. Today, as tough as it seems, see the blessing you have been given. Now share it.

~Karen Berg

Easier said than done…but, Today, let’s try to see ONLY the good, positive, and blessings that are present within this day. Even tougher than that, is to give God thanks regardless of the situation. Yet perhaps the hardest endeavor – is to share this good with others…but, let’s give it a GO(o)D try ANYWAY!!! {1 Thessalonians 5:18}

Humility in Discipline

WEEK 2: Increasing In Our Discernment!

Day 12, Original Post: April 15-16, 2015     {Read Psalm 119:89-96}
Today is the energy of Humility in Discipline. Know that without the Creator there is nothing you can do. Today all day get out of the way and make room for the Light.

~Karen Berg

Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah)

It doesn’t matter if you’re Black, White, or Brown..male or female…Jew, Gentile,…etc. As we make room for the Light of God to come into our lives, let us also remember the loss of millions of lives, because of “our” own injustice and prejudice. Yes, I used the word “our” because it is the responsibility of all of Humanity to let in the Light and Love of God!

Prejudice is built on Judgement, the exact opposite of true discernment.  One way to describe the energy for today is, “Splendid Diversity”! When we consider our role as Human BEings – we will allow others to just “BE” and celebrate the diversity that God created within each and every one of us.

However, this takes a great amount of humility to put into practice. Today, let’s get out of Gods way. The position of God has already been applied for and assumed…so, our hatred, Judgements, and opinions of others and even ourselves – are not asked for nor even needed! Be Humble. Stay Humble…and JUST BE!

Certainly, it was a splendid diversity of children, women and men who died in the Holocaust.  As we remember them today, we are grateful for their lives, their legacies, and their example to make room for the Light of God!

Barack Obama

Celebrate Black History

Barack ObamaBarack Hussein Obama II (born August 4, 1961) is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was president of the Harvard Law Review. He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of ChicagoLaw School from 1992 to 2004. He served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004, running unsuccessfully for the United States House of Representatives in 2000.

Barack Obama was born to a white American mother, Ann Dunham, and a black Kenyan father, Barack Obama Sr., who were both young college students at the University of Hawaii. When his father left for Harvard, she and Barack stayed behind, and his father ultimately returned alone to Kenya, where he worked as a government economist. Barack’s mother remarried an Indonesian oil manager and moved to Jakarta when Barack was six. He later recounted Indonesia as simultaneously lush and a harrowing exposure to tropical poverty. He returned to Hawaii, where he was brought up largely by his grandparents. The family lived in a small apartment – his grandfather was a furniture salesman and an unsuccessful insurance agent and his grandmother worked in a bank – but Barack managed to get into Punahou School, Hawaii’s top prep academy. His father wrote to him regularly but, though he traveled around the world on official business for Kenya, he visited only once, when Barack was ten.

Obama attended Columbia University, but found New York’s racial tension inescapable. He became a community organizer for a small Chicago church-based group for three years, helping poor South Side residents cope with a wave of plant closings. He then attended Harvard Law School, and in 1990 became the first African-American editor of the Harvard Law Review. He turned down a prestigious judicial clerkship, choosing instead to practice civil-rights law back in Chicago, representing victims of housing and employment discrimination and working on voting-rights legislation. He also began teaching at the University of Chicago Law School, and married Michelle Robinson, a fellow attorney. Eventually he was elected to the Illinois state senate, where his district included both Hyde Park and some of the poorest ghettos on the South Side.

In 2004 Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate as a Democrat, representing Illinois, and he gained national attention by giving a rousing and well-received keynote speech at the Democratic National Convention in Boston. In 2008 he ran for President, and despite having only four years of national political experience, he won. In January 2009, he was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, and the first African-American ever elected to that position. Obama was reelected to a second term in November 2012.

“I believe in an America where no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from, no matter who you love, you can pursue your own version of happiness, and you can make it here if you try” ~Barack Obama
